What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

For the 5 day weekend I will be watching a lot of football and seeing my family. Also, I may go black Friday shopping with my siblings. On Thanksgiving I will probably talk with my family and eat the dinner meal, which of coarse is Turkey, stuffing, beans and stuff like that. So overall I am excited to see  my family and eat turkey.

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

A resume website usually has a picture of yourself and basic information like you name, phone number, address, and email. Also it has information about yourself like special achievements and things you have done that would be good for trying to get a job.

Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?

That their are different meanings for design. I think this quotes main focus is that is the process of making something. This relates to web design because in this class we design websites and make things work a lot. If you listen to this quote you may be successful like Steve Jobs the author of the quote. For example, his products, such as the iPad, look great but work even better.

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

So far this semester i have learned so much. The first time I walked in this room i didn't even know what coding was, but now I am familiar with it and I am a pro compared to the first day. I have learned how to code, make a cool website, and even how to use Photoshop. I also have learned the color wheel too.

Monday November 3rd

Tell me about your weekend. Give me details and photos!

My weekend was like most other weekends I hang out with my friends , watch KSU and watch the chiefs. On Saturday some of my friends and I went to another one of our friends house for Halloween and we just hung out. On Saturday i watched the KSU and we killed OSU by a lot of points. Lastly on Sunday I watched the Chiefs. We beat the Jets and are doing pretty well.

Over the weekend I didn't do much. Saturday night I went to a friends. Other then that I mostly watched football and played outside with my neighbors. But in all it was a good weekend.

What kind of background do you have with Photoshop? Have you used it before? What other types of design and editing software have you used before? Explain.

I am not very familiar with photo shopping but we did use it a little bit in middle school. I now the reasons and concept for it but I don't no all the tools. Photo shop is the only editing software ive used so I cant answer the question above.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

Both of the letters have good points and they both have points that I disagree with. The first letter of coarse makes more sense for girls wearing those cloths, but the more adult claim that the cloths could be distracting and inappropriate seem to be more reasonable and accurate. So in the end i agree and disagree with parts of both.

The curriculum that i would want would be one with no hard classes. But of course to be successful i would have to take real learning classes. So by that the perfect curriculum for me would be a math and science based. I really don't enjoy Reading or writing so I would try to stay away from a career with a lot of that. I would maybe be some kind of engineer and I would use my class time efficiently. These classes would be different because I wot have to much homework. Also i would only have classes three days a week.

I agree with the article. I think that a lot of the points the author had were accurate and agreeable. I think that a teacher shouldn't have the right to tell students what or what not to wear. People should be able to express themselves how they want to and not how teachers want them to.

Over the weekend I watched football, played outside and also played PS4. On Saturday I watched KSU. They played Texas Tech and we won by a good amount. It was a really fun game to watch because we did pretty well. Also on Sunday I had to mow and after that I watched the chiefs. It was a close game but we came out on the bottom.

On Friday I went to the BV football game. We won 52-14 against BV Southwest. It was a fun game. On Saturday I watched the KSU game. We beat UTEP by a big margin. Later Saturday I went to hang out with some of my friends. Finally on Sunday I played outside with my neighbors and watched a lot of NFL games.

How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting? Share photos!

My weekend was fun. First on Friday i went to the movies with my friends. It was a good movie. On Saturday I watched a lot of college football. I didn't do much other than that. But I did play outside a little with my friends. We played football and basketball. Finally, on Sunday watched a lot of NFL games. I'm very happy that the Chiefs beat the Dolphins. Sunday night My family and I went to our cousins to eat. Then I when we got home it was later and the weekend was over.

Now that you are several weeks in to this class and have coded one (super small) website, what do you think? What are your thoughts on web design? Is it what you thought it would be? Is it better? Worse? What's your favorite part? What's your least favorite part? Explain.

A few weeks in i think this class getting better. At the beginning it was kind of slow to get started. Now that we are making a website, the class will be more fun. My guess on what we do was pretty accurate. I thought we would do code. I think this class is not as good as i thought it would be but it still is good. My favorite part is making websites and using css. My least favorite part is doing code academy because it can be boring at times.

What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

Deadlines are important because they show how responsible you are. Also someone who doesn't turn in things on time they will probably have a bad grade in the class. High school deadlines reflect real world experience a lot. If your in high school and have a habit of not turning in things on time then you probably wont be very successful in the job and adult world. No boss wants an irresponsible worker. One time last year i did not turn an ELA essay on time so i was counted off more points. From that day on I remember to meet the deadlines.

What did you do this weekend? Share pictures if you have them!




Over the weekend I watched a lot of Football. It started on Friday because I went to the BV game. We played BV West and won by over 15. It was an exciting game and my first game in the student section. Also, on Sunday I watched a lot of Pro games. The Chiefs played the Broncos and we had a disappointing lost. We had a huge chance to win but we could not score. I think we could have done better play calling at the end. That's basically all I did.

This quote shows that know one should ever be bored. I agree that we haven't seen most of the world. There is so much to do in are world and people don't realize it. Next time I think that i am bored i will remember this quote and find something to do, because the earth gives us so many chances to do things. Also, some people that get bored are just not creative.

Over the weekend I did not do much. I mostly watched football. The Chiefs lost which was not surprising. I am very upset with them. On the plus side, KSU beat ISU in a close contested game. Also, last night my family and I went to Topeka to give my brother a car for college. At Topeka we ate at Jose Peppers.

Pretend you are in your 70's or 80's. Complain about kids these days.




Some kids these days are spoiled and don't work to get there things. When I was younger I had to do a bunch of chores and only get paid a fraction of a dollar. Also, kids are very lazy. They just lay around playing video games or watching TV. We didn't even have video games to play when I was younger. Lastly kids aren't as creative.

I have learned but not mastered the html code. I have learned how to make a web page and setup up the format . Also i can now put images in my work because I learned how to. I would say I know way more then the first time I walked in this room. By the end of the semester I want to learn how to make a perfect webpage with out any guidance.

Over labor day weekend I watched a lot of college football. My favorite team is Kansas State and they beat Sf Austin by a lot. After I watched the football games i went to the Royals game on Saturday. We played the Cleveland Indians and we lost in the 11th inning. It was a very long game but it was exciting. On Sunday i went outside for a little and played PS4. Lastly on Monday i had football practice at six, which was fun.

I think this guy went to much in depth and is being to serious for the simple question being asked. I agree that kids should do things in life and not depend on parents telling them what to do. This article makes me feel kind of bored.

I think images are free game if you cite and give credit to the source. People who post things have o realize that not every one will give them credit for there image. If you are doing a big project then i think you should cite to make your project look professional and authentic.

My name is Dayne Homolka. I was born in Kansas and I am 14 years old. Currently I am a Freshman. I like the school and I think my next four years will be great here. I play football and for the school and cant wait for our games. Also, when it comes time for basketball I am going to try out for the team. So far my favorite class is entrepreneurship and Mr. Williams is the teacher. I like that class because I like working with computers. This school year I am looking forward to taking part in many activities.

What do you know about Web Design right now? What did you know about Web Design before you walked in to this class? Tell me as much as you can about how web pages work. Try to use an example if possible.

Right now in web design I know how to setup the background of a web page and how they are made. Their is more about making a cite than just typing on a template. Also, I know how to design and make my website look creative and stylish. I set up my blogger and messed with all of the tools they have. Before I walked in for the first time i thought this class would be about making websites and designing the format and small details like the font and color. Webpage's can be confusing, so you always have to make sure to close all of your heads, bodies, paragraphs, etc,. For example a head opened and closed would look like <head/>.
